Meanwhile… In Other Parts of the World, Irony
The LA fires have dominated the show and this blog. The host’s opening monologue yesterday sums up the status of things pretty well. I could add some detail, but it’s not really needed unless you are in L.A. After that monologue the host turned his attention to Israel – which is the most important story in the world. But other things are happening and worth mentioning. The post Meanwhile… In Other Parts of the World, Irony appeared first on The Hugh Hewitt Show.Alex Jones 2025-Jan-16 Thursday

Much has been made of California’s failures. misplaced priorities, and wrongheaded decisions during this current spate of highly destructive wildfires. It’s outrageous, yet I can find little outrage among my California friends and former neighbors – only resignation as if there is nothing that can be done. There is outrage around the nation and particularly among conservatives, but in California there seems to be a prevailing attitude that this is simply the price for living there. But yesterday an undiscussed outrage dawned on me. The post The Greatest California Outrage appeared first on The Hugh Hewitt Show.Alex Jones 2025-Jan-15 Wednesday

As the fires continue to burn and new fires appear, my wife and I continue to keep a watchful eye on local L.A. news. While conservative press throughout the nation is focused on the innumerable failures of California pols, regulators and agencies, the local L.A. media is playing cheerleader for a rebuild and busy trying to explain how the fire started. How the fires got so far out of hand is a far bigger question than how it started, but no one in L.A. seems particularly interested. I saw one interview yesterday where a resident that had lost everything was asked if they would rebuild answered, “Of course, what else can we do?” as if there were no other possible alternative. Yet, if there are no alternatives, this will happen again…and again…and again. The post Will California Learn? appeared first on The Hugh Hewitt Show.![](flag1.png)
